2009 Race: Dani Pedrosa Wins RED BULL U.S. MotoGP
Jorge Lorenzo had recovered from his crashes in qualifying to take pole at Laguna Seca just in time to catch 3rd place on Podium today. Last few laps were the most exciting laps of MotoGP race itself as Lorenzo overtook Rossi only to almost loose it all and give away the race but he hung on 3rd place.
Rossi on the other hand was just 2.5 second off Pedrosa but on last lap Pedrosa slowed down a bit to give Rossi a chance of glory, Rossi was almost on Pedrosa’s tail and the checked flag.

After a while now, crashes and injury problems with Pedrosa was finally out and the real racer in, back to his very best, lapping at a pace which none of his opponents could come close to. After the start, he had built up a significant gap at the front and although Rossi chased him down on the final lap there were no mishaps this time. No mistakes and he was unbeatable.
