		<description><![CDATA[Korean auto giant Hyundai how now decided to launch its version of Hybrid in Korea, China &#38; India. It is ramping up its efforts in the hybrid segment with the presentation of an all-new concept car at the 2009 Seoul Motor Show that opens on April 2. The BLUE-WILL is a proposal for a family-sized, dedicated hybrid model in the likes of the Toyota Prius and Honda Insight, Even though Toyota &#38; Honda have yet to launch Prius &#38; Insight Honda already has Civic hybrid coming into India from Japan. The plug-in hybrid powered by an all-aluminum gasoline direct-injected 1.6-litre engine which is coupled to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and a powerful 100kw (134HP) electric motor, its expected to be Civic beater in terms of Sales. Electric power is stored in a compact Lithium-Ion Polymer battery pack which is located along with the fuel tank under the rear seat to maximize luggage space. The Hyundai group will be the first automaker in the world to apply Lithium Ion Polymer batteries in mass production. They are likely to be the first to Mass produce Hybrid in the first place. 		<description><![CDATA[Volkswagen in America announced few days back that it has imported 16 Passat Lingyu fuel-cell vehicles from China to use in fleet demonstrations at the California Fuel Cell Partnership in Sacramento, California. These prototype fuel-cell vehicles that are based on the domestic version of the Passat were developed in China as part of a joint effort between VW Shanghai, Tongji University and Volkswagen Group Research. After all, most of the manufacturers are now concentrating on Hybrid technology in order to sell its products. People really want to get rid of Petrol &#38; Diesel but when is the question. This research programme from VW is basically to get the best interest of people in US region. Perhaps they should have introduced it in India and people would have booked the vehicle even before it would have been launched. The hydrogen fuel cells are used in this car as an experiment, its located in the car floor of the Passat Lingyu. The fuel cell system develops a peak power of 55 kW.
