Toyota Fortuner in Showrooms from 24th August 2009
Its now official that Toyota will launch its Fortuner on the 24th August 2009. The Fortuner will be powered by a 3.0-litre common rail engine and should bera a Rs 20 lakh price tag. Toyota anticipates to get hold of about 50% of the market share with its SUV.
The Sports Utility Vehicle will be assembled in India. The other model on which Toyota is working is its small car.
As Toyota is expanding in India they also plan to launch various other models in Indian Market, as surveys were conducted in Metro Cities like Delhi, Bombay, Chennai, Bangalore, Calcutta ; it revealed that people either wanted to buy an SUV/MPV or a budget car. Recently launched Toyota Camery also might have a new varient in town that is 2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid A 3.5-liter V6 : 268 BHP which would be far more exciting compitition to Honda Accord V6
